Confidence. It’s something most of us struggle with. And I’ll be the first to admit that at different times in my life, my confidence has been shaken to the core, mostly by the words spoken to me by others. Words from the childhood playground to the company meeting room. And with each and every word, I’ve felt inadequate. Less than. Unqualified.
Maybe you have found yourself asking, “Why would God use me? Why would He call me to this work? Why would He fulfill my heart’s desire? Why me?” You just feel so unlikely, so unqualified.
How do we move past the fear and disbelief of the work that God has called us to?
In today’s episode, I chat through this exact topic. I specifically look at:
💥 The story of Moses and his 5 excuses
💥 What it means to shift our focus from personal confidence to God-confidence
💥 The story of Mary, the mother of Jesus, a young woman who allowed her God-confidence to lead and guide her into something that she could never do on her own
Friends, maybe today, you are feeling inadequate for the work that God has called you to. And maybe you find yourself giving too many excuses as to why it can’t be done and why you are the wrong person for the assignment. If so, this is the episode for you! You’ve been called by God, and you have what it takes to do the work that you have been called to with excellence. You have what it takes to use your skills, expertise, voice, and leadership to impact and influence culture through your work!
