Friends, what are you pursuing?

“Therefore, I hated life because the work that was done under the sun was distressing to me.” ~ Ecclesiastes 2:17

This is a verse I’ve been pondering and chewing on as I prepare to invite more quietness into my life in December and prep for 2023.

If you know the story, you know that Solomon had EVERYTHING. And with that, he pursued EVERYTHING. You would think he was a happy, peaceful man from the outside. But the reality was, in his pursuit of too many things, he was distressed.

Distressed: Causing anxiety, sorrow, or pain.

How many of us are distressed due to pursuing too many things? Here’s what I know: We are not supposed to pursue everything that comes our way. Why? Because if we do, we become depleted and distracted, which is not how we should live.

As we prepare for a new year, I share some specific thoughts in this episode that will give you the clarity and confidence to start 2023 on the right foot. I specifically chat through:

💥 The pursuit of too many things and the distress it’s causing in our lives
💥 Specific questions that will help you decipher what God wants you to pursue in 2023
💥 Partnering with God in your pursuits rather than “doing” for God

Friends, I want to challenge you to take the month of December to get quiet and listen to the voice of God. Be diligent in pursuing that time with Him over the next 30 days. I can assure you if you do, you will gain the clarity and confidence you long for!
